Leben

Er erwarb den BA (Geschichte) an der University of Kansas 1968, den M.A.R. (Theologie) an der Yale University Divinity School 1971, den MA (Mediävistik) an der University of Toronto 1972, den M.S.L. (Theologie) am Pontifical Institute of Mediaeval Studies Toronto 1974 und den Ph.D. (Mediävistik) an der University of Toronto 1977. Seit 1993 war er Professor am Institut für Geschichte der University of Toronto.
